Board of Directors Candidates

The following DACS members have been nominated for the Board of Directors for 2012-2014. Please show your support by voting at the annual meeting, December 4, or by volunteering to serve on our Board.

 

Richard CorzoRichard Corzo (incumbent) – Richard Corzo has been a computer programmer for over 30 years starting on IBM mainframes and working his way down to personal computers and now doing web applications. He's been a PC user and DACS member since 1993, a Mac user since 2000, and has written many articles on operating systems and utlilities for the DACS newsletter. He has been leader of the Macintosh/Apple SIG since the spring of 2004, and is interested in keeping DACS current with the latest technology. In April, 2010, Richard became DACS president.

 

 

 

Richard DiFrancoDavid Green (incumbent) – A longtime member of DACS, Dave is the current DACS treasurer. He worked on IBM mainframes as a systems programmer and systems analyst for many years. Since retiring in 2001 he served as treasurer of the Connecticut Choral Society for six years and as treasurer of DACS for two years. He was born in Michigan and has three children and seven grandchildren. A resident of Danbury for 32 years, he established the 501(c)(3) status of his local homeowners association. He plays trombone in the Danbury Community Orchestra and the Danbury Trombone Outfit.

 


Patrick LibertBill Saturno – Bill Saturno is a lifelong technology enthusiast and retrocomputing hobbiest. He has been a member of the Connecticut PC Users' Group in Norwalk and CreativeTech, an association of technology professionals, and is a co-founder of Danbury Hackerspace and Connecticut Hackerspace. He would bring to the board an extensive experience in online networking and video conferencing. Bill is currently working as Senior Account Executive at D&R/Boar's Head Provisions, with past experience in the cellular/digital data industry, as well as experience in NYC dot com startups. Previously, he served as Promotions and Marketing Director of WRKI/WINE/WAXB/WPUT.

 

 

Rob LimbaughRichard Teasdale – Richard Teasdale is retired from a long career in Information Technology during which he played various roles, ranging from Programmer to Project Manager, Systems Analyst to Unix Administrator. He began his career programming mainframe computers but more recently worked on servers and PC's. He currently does website support work as a volunteer for a number of nonprofit organizations. A long-time resident of Ridgefield, Richard moved to Danbury in 2010. A member of DACS for several years, Richard now serves as copy editor for the newsletter and website, and has recently assumed responsibility for monthly press releases sent to area publications and media stations. A Drupal user, he is endeavoring to assist with development of the DACS Drupal website. Since October 2012, he has served out the board term vacated by Rob Limbaugh.

 

 

Andrew WoodruffAndy Woodruff (incumbent) – Andy Woodruff has been on the DACS Board since 2010 and a DACS member since 1991. He also has previous experience on the boards of nonprofit organizations of various sizes. He served five years as a Board member and Chair of the Finance Committee at an organization that is much larger than DACS and runs a 7-figure budget (www.rowecenter.org). He also chaired the startup committee that wrote organizational bylaws and obtained IRS 501(c)(3) status for a new nonprofit organization (www.ctswing.org). Andy has dual careers as an engineer and professional cellist, both on a contracting basis. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and has degrees in physics and electrical engineering from Brown University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Andy participates in the Web Design, Drupal, and Digital Imaging SIGs.
